弊廊2度目となる田中福男さんの個展を開催いたします。
田中さんは、理化学ガラスという透明度の高いガラスを用い、
「インサイドアウト」と呼ばれる技法によって制作されています。
小さい中にとても複雑な風景が閉じ込められており、その精密さは観る者の目を奪います。
また近年制作を始めた「Selfish」シリーズでは、一転して外側へと広がるかたちを追求していて、ガラスの繊細さと危うさを感じさせるアンビヴァレントな作品となっています。
内と外、対極のベクトルを持った作品群が、庭の景色とも呼応しながら展示空間の中で共鳴する様子を、ぜひ体感していただければ幸いです。
 
 
この度は2度目のスペース大原さんにて展示をさせていただきます。
スペース大原さんは築100年以上の古民家をリノベーションしたギャラリーで展示中は引き戸を解放しており庭と一体になった空間になります。昼夜で全く違う空間になり、作品、空間の見え方が変わってきます。

今回はタイトルが『群生に』です。タイパ（タイムパフォーマンス）などに価値を置かれる昨今、迂遠しながらしか見えないものがあるなと制作しながら思うことがあります。ガラス作家としてトライアンドエラーを繰り返し、タイムパフォーマンス、合理性はないところで制作してきました。
今回はSelfishシリーズをとにかく作っております。そこから何かしら見えるような気がしております。
18歳まで群生の中過ごした多治見という場所で作品を並べ、昔の自分と対話しながら何かを持ち替えられればなと思います。
 
ペンダントヘッド、球体作品（マーブル）合わせて50点前後、彫刻作品を10点前後持っていく予定です。何卒よろしくお願いいたします。
 

I will be holding a second exhibition at Space Ohara.

Space Ohara is a gallery created by renovating a traditional Japanese house over 100 years old. During the exhibition, the sliding doors are kept open, allowing the interior to merge with the garden as a single continuous space. The atmosphere shifts completely between day and night, altering the way both the works and the space itself are perceived.

The title of this exhibition is “Within a Proliferation.” In a time when efficiency and time performance are highly valued, I often feel through the process of making that there are things that can only be perceived indirectly, through detours. As a glass artist, I have worked through repeated trial and error, creating in ways that do not prioritize efficiency or rationality.

For this exhibition, I have been devoted to producing the Selfish series. I have a sense that something may emerge from this body of work.

I will be presenting these works in Tajimi, the place where I spent my life until the age of 18, within a kind of “proliferation.” By arranging the works there, I hope to engage in a dialogue with my past self and, through that, perhaps come to exchange or renew something within myself.

I plan to bring approximately 50 pendant pieces and spherical works (marbles), along with around 10 sculptural works. Thank you very much for your consideration.
